I have recently replaced my DVD drive with a new drive. Now when I log on I geta message saying there is a problem with checking license and get the above error message. How do I resolve this issue

Hi,

Please try to reactivate you copy of Windows as you have changed the DVD
Drive.

During the previous Activation the following hardware gets checked?
=========================================================
The Windows Product Activation checks ten categories of hardware:

Display Adapter
SCSI Adapter
IDE Adapter (effectively the motherboard)
Network Adapter (NIC) and its MAC Address
RAM Amount Range (i.e., 0-64mb, 64-128mb, etc.)
Processor Type
Processor Serial Number
Hard Drive Device
Hard Drive Volume Serial Number (VSN)
CD-ROM / CD-RW / DVD-ROM

Please read FAQ at

Please check the "Technical Details on Microsoft Product Activation for
Windows XP" at
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/evaluate/xpactiv.mspx#

Please check the KB article "HOW TO: Activate Windows XP" at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;307890

Please do the following procedure to re-activate your windows.
1. Click Start->All Programs->Accessories-System Tools
