Error "LSX_MPEG Player"

I am suddenly getting an error message when I try to
attach a file to an outgoing e-mail. After
clicking "attach" the dialog box opens but them I am
unable to choose a file to insert and outlook crashes. I
have not loaded any new software recently and tried to
reinstall Office XP but that doesn't fix the problem.
When I send an error report to Microsoft and then
click "more info", I am told the error ocurred
in "LSX_MPEG Player" and I get a link to Ligos.com for
more help... The Ligos site is of no help. I ran a scan
for viruses and found nothing.

Any ideas on the cause and/or how to fix?
