About 3 days ago I started to receive the following error message after logon.
RUNDLL
"Error loading C:\WINDOWS\crsl.dll
The specified module could not be found."

This appears twice in quick succession. After the two windows are closed all programs appear to work as normal and the system will shut down as normal.

I was attempting to delete unused programs through the add and remove utility in control panel as well as manually in the program folders. Is It possible I deleted some files by mistake that is causing this problem?

I use Nortons 2003, Adaware and Spybot and keep all updates current. I have run scans with all of them and they show the system to be clean. I have tried system restore but the problem remains. Would a XP repair install correct this problem?

Hi

Have a look in msconfig>startup to see if the file is referenced. If so,
uncheck it and then reboot your system.
