Error Inserting Excel sheet in Word

When i try to insert an Excel sheet in a Word Document (both 2003), I get an error.
"Word cannot start the app. which is needed to open the project. This function is not functioning anymore. Repair?" (This is a very free translation of the dutch error :)) Whether i choose to repair or not doesn't solve the problem. Running Excel is no problem.

Anybody an idea how to solve this?
