hi,

in windows xp SP1 when connecting any USB hardware, computer makes the
sound as it recognize correctly the hard, but no unit drive appears in my
computer.

thanks in advance,

Xavierr

I have the same problem - "My Computer Information - Hardware" reveals the
'F' drive as Lexar Jumpdrive. However, when I go to "My Computer" I only see
A (floppy), C (internal HD), D (internal HD), and E (CD). How can I get the
"F" drive to appear on "My Computer"?

Try going to computer management and assigning a drive letter.

start>run and type

compmgmt.msc

select disk management>select the USB drive>Right click and select change
drive letter and path>click add or change>then assign a drive letter.

Good Luck.

William, thanks. From disk management, the media drive was already assigned a
drive letter (F). I reassigned it to G, then back to F. At each step I check
with My Computer and the F/G drives never displayed. Is there something that
I need to do from My Computer that would display these drives so I can use
them? (Also, this same problem occurs when I connect my Sony digital camera
-- the tool bar icon shows the camera connected thru the USB, but I have no
way to interface with the contents of the camera/drive.) Just FYI, I have
been using the camera and the memory stick for over a year without any
problem until about 2 weeks ago.
Thanks, Bill
