error in the main module

More and more I am getting an error msg that says
"There is an error in the main module and this program
will be shut down" Is this an XP problem or one from
my ISP? Is there a way to fix it? Thanks.

With no more than this to go on, I'd guess that whatever program
you're running has a bug that you're running into.
