I am new to the computer in the home. I am also a mommy and my husband and I put the computer in our room and we have a lock on our door to keep little people from pushing buttons because they are there. However one of us left the door open and someone has been playing with the mouse and key board. since then every time we log in a warning pops up to tell us that there is an error in the hasher folder. The exact error reads as follows...Hasher\Temp Folder error. Downloads are disabled because of Critical errors with the hasher Folder! Please check your Temp Folder "C:\Documents and Settings\michael tanner\my Documents\my music\" and Hasher Folde
the error report is blurry after this point and I cannot read the rest of it
We did not even know we had a Hasher Folder and I have no idea where to find it let alone what to look for when I do find it. can anyone tell me what this is and how to fix it

Thank
juj

Kelly, thanks for replying to me, I guess the software installed is from a program called bearshare. My husband said that it helps find things like movies and music to download. We put on the program as a trial and now have the program. I did a search for hasher but it said the folder is empty. so now I am really confused. if you have any ideas as to what I should do now thanks. If not Thanks for trying to help.
I will let you know if I am able to figure this out.
thanks again juj
