Hello all:
Windows 2000 Professional, Outlook 2002.

I just signed up with Earthlink DSL and now I can no
longer send mail through my other 2 ISP outgoing servers.
These have worked for years using multiple access methods
(ISDN, DSL, Cable, Satellite) and now it doesn't work
anymore.

The error message is:

Task 'GSS Mail - Sending' reported error
(0x80042109) : 'Outlook is unable to connect to your
outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive
this message, contact your server administrator or
Internet service provider (ISP).'

Have you changed your outgoing (smtp) mail server
settings to your new DSL server settings, e.g.
mail.earthlink.com or similar.

Hello

I have the same Windows 2000 Professional with Outlook 2002, the same error code (0x80042109) and a similar set of circumstances. I have been sending mail though two pop3 accounts for about a year with no problems. Then one account occassionally wouldn't send. Now, it never sends. I did the usual....deleted the account and reconfigured it, reloaded office, etc.....but to no avail

Robert
