error code & data cd

I cannot copy the music files off a data cd created by
windows media player 9. I get an error code COOD11CD.
What does this mean? Is there another program I can use
to get the songs off this data cd into mp-3 or wma format

Its a generic error code, doesn't mean anything unfortunately. See this site

If your tracks are on a data cd, already in WMA or MP3 format, you just need
to copy them and paste to a folder on your HD.

If you mean to say an audio CD, you need to rip the tracks. Use this free
tool to rip into wav or mp3 files :
