Error Code 4

I keep getting error code 4 when trying to install
Windows XP Pro. I did a fresh install from a clean HD. It
says could not load \i386\ntkrnlmp.exe error code 4 setup
cannot continue. I'm running a AMD Duron 800mhz with
128mb ram and a 20gb HD. I would apprecate any input
ASAP! Thank You!!!!!
