On startup (XP Home), I always get the error
message 'Can't find \\.\DRI_KBFiltr'.

When I click on 'OK' everything proceeds normally - the
lack of the file doesn't seem to be a problem.

Any ideas on how I can stop getting the message?

I assume that you are having this problem on an HP
Laptop. If so they have the fix for it in their
newsgroup. It worked for me. However, I lost the url.
BTW it has to do with your keyboard. Basically you have
to remove one touch in add and remove programs. The re-
install it from the setup program in the HP driver
directory. But go to HP Q&A posting and do a search.

Thanks a lot for that. Method 2 in 812582 seems to have
worked (though I had to shut a differently named driver,
as I am on XP Home and this didn't happen after any
upgrade). I just wish Microsoft searches worked better,
as I'd been looking for something for weeks with negative
results! Thanks again.
