slower speed." did all the above, plus cleaned the
drive, no matter what will not burn. Any other ideas of
what to check out? Not a computer genius, so be gentle

This is something that works for me...sometimes. You may
not have enough available RAM. In the
Programs>accessories>system tools, you have a function
called disc cleanup. Click on it and clean up all your
caches then reboot.
