error: Apllication hang of internet explorer - event code 1002

When surfing on the internet with internet explorer it hangs itself up
several times per evening.
I get the following messages in my error log:
- Application hand IEXPLORER.EXE 6.0.2900.2180 in hungapp 0.0.0.0 at offset
00000000 ; event code 1002
and anothother message
- Bucket 126637809 with event code 1001

Does anyone know what I can do to solve this problem, because it is driving
me crazy.

I have a Athlon 64 3000+ system with Windows XP SP2
graphic card nVidia 6800 LE with 128 mb and memory 512 mb
