Error 8007ffff when right-clicking and saving pictures...

Win XP (SR1)
IE 6
Pentium 4 2.6 gig.
80 gig HD
512 MB RAM

Am having the following problemswith my IE 6 browser...

When right-clicking and savng pics, I frequently get the error message
"error 8007ffff".

Even when I do not get this message, right-clicking and saving a pic
temporarily "freezes" that IE window for up to 15-20 seconds.

Any idea what is up here?

Empty your cache to see if it makes a difference... In IE, tools, Internet Options,
general tab, delete files.
If this doesn't help, refresh your MDAC components.

I have now tried both recommendations but note no change.

Here is some additional information that may be helpful.

Invariably (i.e. everytime) after a right-click, the browser will
"hang" (or freeze) save-as or even when simply saving the entire page.

Also, when a page is frozen, to attempt to click on the right-hand,
upper-most "x" results in every other IE window closing.
