I have had a problem for some time now (possibly since loading SP2 last
year). I use dial up and I have set Outlook to dial in to check emails every
60 minutes. If the phone is in use when it dials in, it comes up with an
error. However, each time it dials in after that, it comes up with error 756
: "the modem is being used by something else", even though it is not. It
seems that it remembers the error and doesn't check to see if the problem is
still there. The only way to clear the error is to shutdown Outlook and
start again. Sometimes I need to reboot the computer. It didn't used to
work this way!
