No PPP control protocols configured

You have to configure the TCP/IP protocol with data provided by your
Internet Service Provider.

Good luck

But how?! I dont know how to do that! My computer is really quite new and when I baught it it didn't come with a modem so I had to install one, and then I got a virus...blaster worm or something and it kept restarting, and then I got this error and I dont know how to configure the TCP/IP protocol....no clue...

Check this article:

How to Configure Windows XP TCP/IP to Use DNS
This article describes how to configure Windows XP TCP/IP to use the
Domain Name Service (DNS).

Also, maybe LSP-Fix will help. Try it, it's free, doesn't hurt to
have it in your toolbox.

Good luck
