Whenever I press the sleeper button to stand by mode it goes into stand by
mode for about 10 seconds and then comes back out of it. Apparently missing
appmgmt.dll file.

Is the SP2 update is installed?

Can you please post a copy of the Event Viewer Error Report?

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning
of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from

Thanks for the info. I may have solved it. I had updated ethernet card, thats
when problem started. I reverted back to old driver. Now it goes into stand
by mode.
