Hello
Since I upgraded a laptop to Windows XP my mapped drives no longer work. The login script gives me error 53 messages. I cannot manually map a drive cause it says it is unaccessable. I can ping the servers without any problems, but I cannot map or see the drives. When I go the view entire network under My Network Places the Microsoft Client is not there. Under the properties for the Local Area Network Connection the Client for Microsoft Windows is installed and it is checked off. I also made sure that no firewall is running.
Does anyone know what the problem may be

Thanks
- Sean -

error 53 means name resolution or connection issue. since you can ping it,
make sure you type the correct path. or post the result of net view
\\servername here.

When I go to Start/Run I type \\servername\foldername.
It gives an error saying the network path could not be found.
