Error 1608

Hello,
I am trying to reinstall Office XP Standard and when I
enter the Product Key from orange sticker on back, I keep
receiving an "Error 1608" response.

Please help.

If this is an MS Office upgrade CD (instead of "full" CD), you need to have
the CD handy from another version of Office and insert it when prompted
-OR- have a previous version of Office installed.

This isn't really the appropriate place for this, but 1608 means it cannot
find a qualifying product on your system. You need to find the product you
used to qualify for the upgrade - if you no longer have it, then you do not
qualify to use the upgrade and must purchase Office again.
