Error 1606: %userprofile%/NetHood

In trying to install the New Google Package, I get the above error.
Start|Run|cmd echo %userprofile% gives a legit path, which does exist and it
has a NetHood in it. I'm running as an Admin, with SP2..

Help!

Ross,

You receive an "Error 1606" error message when you try to install or remove
a Microsoft program:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=886549

The value type should be given equal importance.

Ah hah! Ends up the type for nethood in the registry was set incorrectly!
Varun, part of the MSDN support staff discovered the problem and was able to
fix it. Thanks, Varun!
