i re-installed xp home again on my sys and now i am getting the stupid error
code. i am the admin and never had this problem b4. doesn't matter what
program i try to install still get same error. very annoying!!! trying every
remedy microsoft had listed: no-go. i even deleted my account and recreated a
new one with admin and it let me re-install my office xp pro but other things
have problems. i have to hack my programs to get them to install at all.
maybe i should try switching to MAC. the only thing stopping me is the
thousands of $ in software i have for PC. ugg MONOPOLY either way, but what
can you do? well any help would be great.

You're post is a bit unclear. Why did you reinstall XP in the first
place. And when does this error message come up? When did it first
arise? Was it after installing any device drivers or other software?
If you give more information then maybe someone can offer focused
assistance.
