Error 1008

I recently started receiving the following error. It occurrs quite often.
It appears that is has to do with performance monitoring. Has anyone else
had this problem. What is it and how do I correct it?

Oh.. I had better also mention that the server is Windows 2000 SBS with
Service Pack 4 and is not a Clustered server as described in the following
MS KB article.
