Nope. But entering that error code in google brings up a whole bunch
of other ppl with the same error, for various different reasons, and
loads of suggested fixes.
I discovered that there was no Desktop folder in C:\Documents and
Settings\All Users\ and no registry key pointing to it. I created the
folder and key and then restarted the PC. Once I'd done this the
installaion worked as expected.
