Error 0x73dd11c7

Does anyone have a good understanding of this error mx?
I've run into it with some PCB software used for years but if you type
0x73dd11c7 into a search engine you will see a whole MASS of other apps
involved. Thus it seems more to do with XP (in my case) or Office. I'm not
using Office here but the closing modal form is captioned CiceroUIWndframe:
myApp - Application error before I am bounced out when using a particular
menu function. (However one in ten times it works!)
The OS and Office are fully up-to-date and the recognition options in Office
are disabled so what's going on?
All clues to de-irritate me gratefully received. Thanks

Try this
"Control Panel"
"Add/Remove Programs"
"Microsoft Office," click on the "Change" button
browse to "Office Shared Features," "Alternative User Input," and select for
Speech and Handwriting Recognition (both) "Not available" from the drop-down
box.

Thanks, Mark but I have been running this configuration for a long time (and
have rechecked) so this does not seem to be the answer.
Only Word is loaded, not any other Office app.
