Erroneous IE History pages

I cannot completely delete 2 web page entries from my IE history.

I've tried Tools / Internet Options / Clear History (0 days).
When I click on the "down arrow" icon on the address line, the pages
don't appear. So that's OK.
However, when I type in http://www.g on the status line, the two links
appear.
(both begin with the letter 'g')

How can I delete these ?

You probably have corruption in the History folder or it's index.dat file.
Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder (and the index.dat file) and a new one will be created when
you restart.
Or the History folder can be deleted manually:
