When I open windows irrelevant of the program, at times the window minimizes
on its own. Very frustrating to say the least. I had posted before and
somebody suggested that I was triggering " flicks", I since disabled that
function and the problem persist. From my limited knowledge it appears that
mouse actions trigger the minimization of the windows. Looking at the device
manager it allocated a generic driver to my logitech mouse and indicates as
well that is functioning OK.Same for monitor it does not recognize my
monitor ( Acer 1916w) and assigns a generic pnp monitor. Could these issues
cause the insanity ??

Help a newbie, regards from Hamilton Ontario Canada

No. Monitors are always Generic unless you manually change (though you only
change the name - it knows what the monitor can do from PnP). Microsoft
mouses are often generic too.

There would be no difference between the generic and the name for inbui;t
drivers.

Nothing here.

Monitors are NOT using generic drivers; my LG shows up in Device Manager and
has its own drivers( same as XP) ,and he is using a Logitech mouse, not a
Microsoft mouse

Not everyone uses a PS/2 connector for their mouse. When I install the Latest
Logitech mouse drivers it shows as HID Compliant Mouse and I have many extra
functions I didn't have before.

If you don't know what you are talking about why mention it. So what. It's a
f*ckin generic driver, which is what I called it.
