right click on the icon you wish to delete__and delete

Right click the " Start " then select properties , Then select Customize ,
Then >>> Advanced

Not all can be removed, but most can.

Right click an icon on the Start menu and click Delete on the context menu
that pops up. If Delete is not a choice, the item cannot be deleted.

If your right click menu is missing in the Start Menu...

XP Start Menu >>
Right click the Start button | Properties |
Start Menu tab | Customize button | Advanced tab |
Scroll down to and Check: Enable dragging and dropping |
Click OK | Click OK

Classic Start Menu >>
Right click the Start button | Properties |
Start Menu tab | Customize button |
Scroll down to and Check: Enable dragging and dropping |
Click OK | Click OK

Enable dragging and dropping
[[Prevents users from using the drag-and-drop method to reorder or remove
items on the Start menu. Also, this entry removes context menus from the
Start Menu.]]

Hope this helps. Let us know.
