Erasing CDR's On Windows Vista Home Premium

Can anyone help please? Am doing a bit of housekeeping and trying to erase
files on Cd's were I have previously saved information that I dont need
anymore. When I load the CD and open the files there is not provision to
right click and delete the files.

When I queried this with Help and Support Centre it says that to delete
files on a CD you look at the Toolbar in the file for the CDR that have in
the machine and press the button that says "Erase the CD". This would be
great if there WAS such a button on the toolbar.

Can anyone advise please as I would like to recyle these CDR's rather than
chuck them away

Tim,

CDR are 'recordable' one time, they cannot be erased, under some conditions
they can be 'added' to however.
CDRW (re-writable) can be erased and reused.

To erase all of the files on a RW disc:

1. Insert the CD-RW, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, or DVD-RAM disc
into your computer's CD or DVD burner.
2. Click to open Computer.
3. Click the drive icon that represents your writeable drive,
and then, on the toolbar, click Erase this disc.
4. Follow the steps in the Erase Disc Wizard.

Note: CD-R discs are not erasable.
