Entering an equation in equation editor, word has informed me
that the equation has reached the maximum size allowable. I
don't want to break the equation into smaller pieces. Is there
any way around this?
No. Like the error message says, Equation Editor isn't a word
processor, so there are limits on the equation size. Some people
want to write entire documents in Equation Editor or MathType,
and the products are just not designed to do that. Your situation
may be different, and you may actually have a single equation
that is over the limit. If you have a need for larger equations,
please let us know at (e-mail address removed), and include an example
attached to your e-mail. Keep in mind though, that just because
we make an update to Equation Editor, that doesn't mean Microsoft
(or any of our other licensees) will want the update. For that
reason, you should also contact Microsoft tech support.
