Hi,

First time posting here, please be gentle :) I have recently got hold of an
Epson Stylus C64, and when I go into the printers preferences to try and
view the status monitor under the maintenence tab, it doesn't let me. The
options for both status monitor and replace ink cartridge are greyed out and
unclickable, the nozzle check, print head cleaning, and alignment options
all work as they should. I have tried installing the newest drivers from
the Epson site, and i have checked bidirectional communication is enabled in
the properties as the Epson website states that status monitor will only
work when this is enabled, which it is, i even tried turning it off and on
again. It is plugged in via USB. I'm stumped on this one, can anyone offer
any ideas? I tried asking Epson technical support, they havn't got back to
me yet....

Cheers for your help.

Running Windows XP Pro by the way.

Did you do a separate install for the status monitor.
I do not know if you need to install the status monitor separately (I did
when I had my photo stylus 870).

No it is part of the drivers AFAIK and it is there as an option, i just
can't click the damn thing :)

Dan:
Windows XP provides basic printer drivers. Status Monitor is not included.
Go to the Canon web site and download their XP Status Monitor utility.
