My Epson C40UX printer (USB) on XP Pro system is giving me problems with
EBAPI dummy documents being in the print queue.
I have tried the solution at
http://boards.screenprinters.net/viewthread/64/80977 but that doesn't
help as my printer is an USB and not parallel.
I used Windows Update when updating the driver and i thought because it
was a signed driver that would help.
How can I *totally* uninstall all remnants of the C40UX printer and
Status Monitor driver(s) and then start again afresh with the C40UX CD
that came with the printer.
Or...are there any other solutions?
Thanks

Hi, system restore to the point just before you installed the update will do
it....

I have made an image of my system so can't go back using System Restore.
That is why I am needing a fix for the situation! - Thanks Chris

I *think* I have found an answer: I uninstalled the printer and Status
Monitor and then just installed the Printer driver utility *without* the
Status Monitor. So far the printing is great and *no* EBAPI files in the
print list!

Or, when booting your computer, press F8 before Windows loads and choose
Safe Mode. Once in Safe Mode, head over to the Control Panel and open
Add\Remove Programs. Now remove everything that is Epson. Also, in the
Control Panel, you can open the Printers and Faxes and remove the Epson
from there as well. Also, you may need to remove it from Device Manager
(Click Start-Run-Type devmgmt.msc and click OK). Once you have done all
that, reboot and reinstall the Epson software ;)
