Silly guestion: when I go into envelope and label and I
want to type an envelope, when I go to print it address
go away on program and if I need to correct a type I half
to retype envelope. Is there anyway of saving it to an
address book before I print it so it doesnt disappear.
Whem I click address book it says no entries and it
defaults and goes to email address. This is not a mass
mailing. Can anyone understand what I am trying to say

Are you asking about WORD? Windows XP does not have any
label and envelope function without an application such as
WORD, WORKS or some such installed.

There are no silly questions, only silly people. I assume
(which I hate to do) that you are using Microsoft Word to
write a letter and then you go to the TOOLS tab, then to
Letters and Mailings, then to the Envelopes & Labels item,
then to the Envelopes tab, right ? All you have to do is
put type the address in the body of the letter, highlight
it and when you go to print the envelope it will already
know how to address the envelope 'cause you highlighted it
first. Also, you can go to Start, Programs, Accessories,
Address Book and create entries there for people you mail
things to. Hope this helps . . .

thanks so much. Yes I know how to add to document. I
wanted to know how to save the address not putting into a
document. I was in the envelope program, typed the addy,
printed the envelope and the address disappeared. SO if
there was a type u would have to retype it. Now I will
add to a document first LOL But I will try the other way
also that u sent me. Thanks so much for all youre help.
U are great

I have word or works installed. I am on xp and it does
have an envelope under tools Thanks so much for all
youre help.

Hi-When I went into accessories and clicked on address
book it says Not your default v card viewer-should I say
yes to that answer.

You really don't know what you have installed, WORD is not
WORKS, you might have either or both programs installed.
They operate differently in detail. Windows XP is an
operating system and does not have any envelope and labels.
I don't mean to be mean, but you won't get any really useful
answers unless you accurately describe your APPLICATIONS
that are install on the Windows XP Operating System.

Annoying isn't it. There are two ways to reduce the problem..

1) After typing in the address select it and right click -> Copy.
2) Type the address into the document window.
