envelope orientation

I have a printer that is not long enough to insert an envelope horizontally.
I need to insert the envelope vertically, on the right side of the printer. I
could do this my old computer (and Word 97, I think it was) but can't figure
out how to get the envelope printed this way in Word 2003. I thought I could
get around this by using text boxes, but they don't seem to act the way I
expect them to.

If you use the envelope wizard you can dictate the orientation of the
envelope by clicking the 'feed' window at the bottom right of the dialog
box.
