envelope default fonts

I have been trying to change the default fonts for the
envelope addresses in Word 2002. I select the font
desired, then select "Default" and I get the box asking
if I want to permanently change the default and I
select "Yes" but next time I select the document and go
to envelopes again, it is back to Arial font. Has anyone
found a way of changing the default fonts? Everywhere I
search, I get the same instructions that are in "Help"
and I have had no luck with them. Is there somewhere else
I should be making changes? I have installed SP1 - 3 but
they do not address this issue.
