I an using Windows XP and Offive XP. I have a number of addresses in
Outlook. When I try to address an envelope in Word, the addresses do not
show up. They used to word with Office 2000.
Thanks,
Tom

Is Outlook your Windows default e-mail application?

The address function is tied to the e-mail function. It is in fact an e-mail
address book. You will have to set Outlook as your default e-mail
application to provide its address book function in Word.

Check it from Windows > control panel > internet options.
If that doesn't fix it raise a question in the Outlook newsgroups.

Thanks for trying Graham - still problems, but I'll muddle along - you
interest is appreciated.

Try this:

Go into Outlook Go to the contacts list and check that its properties are
flagged for use as an Outlook Address Book.

If that doesn't fix it try tools > e-mail accounts > view or change address
books

You should have Outlook Address Book listed and maybe some other stuff. You
can delete the lot, then add Outlook Address Book again.
