I'm using Windows XP on my Toshiba laptop, and
everything's fine. Suddenly, 3 days ago, every single
file on my hard drive is write-protected. The "read-
only" box is actually filled in by a square, not simply
checked. I undo the option by clicking on directories
and changing their properties, but some unknown evil
force immediately overrides my decision and restores the
permanent write-protected status. I am not on any
network, and get info only from a wireless web
connection.
Why on earth is my machine doing this unbelievably
annoying thing?
