I just want to put what I want in the cells, but everytime I do it
formats what i put into the cell into the date or a number. I am trying
to make a work schedule and all i want is excel to not change what i
type in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS

Hi Joeycool3!

I'm inclined to agree that the intellisence of Excel can be a pain.

Probably, the best solution is to pre-format your entry cells as text,
currency, number, date etc.

Another quick way is to type a ' in front of the number. The apostrophe will force the number to be text, and will not be displayed in the cell.

Good Luck,
