Hello
I used the field selector to create a new field in my Sent messages view.
Now, how do I enter data into that field??

Regards

What type Of feed? Did you add one of Outlooks defeat fields or create a
custom one?

A custom one. I created a custom field for my Sent mailbox. Now I want to
put data into that field.
Thanks
e.

Thanks for your help Diane,
I don't understand your question, I don't ask for handwriting.
I just added a field to my SENT folder in outlook, and I just want to be
able to e enter a number (i.e.5) into that field. Where must I click to
enter that number.
I didnt' create any form, I don't know what's incell editing.
Just want to add a number to my messages as a reference.
Thanks
e.

Diane was commenting on her own response where the handwriting recognition
she was using changed "field" into "feed".

I'm sorry. Guess I'm in the wrong group.
Can anybody please help me to get to a beginners group whe I can find a
solution for my problem?

The questions were: "are you using incell editing? Did you add it to the
form or just the folder?" These were in response to your statements: "I
created a custom field for my Sent mailbox. Now I want to put data into that
field." Since you created the form, you should be able to answer the
questions. When you do, you probably will get an answer to your original
question.

That's what I'm telling you.
I don't know what's incell editing.
I didn't create a form. Where did I talk about a form?
I right clicked on the screen, select "Field Selector" then "new" and added
a field (a column) named "A".
So now I have columns: From, Subject, Sent, Size and A.
I just wat to know how to fill the column A.
Thanks
e.

OK. You were customizing a view. In that same Customize View wizard, click
Other Settings and the dialogue you get will have the "Allow in-cell
editing" option.
I right clicked on the screen, select "Field Selector" then "new" and
added a field (a column) named "A".
So now I have columns: From, Subject, Sent, Size and A.

Enable the "Allow in-cell editing" option. Then when the "A" field you
added shows, you'll be able to click in it and enter what you want.
