Entered a used product key, now 2nd computer locked out

I have in total 4 copies of Windows XP Proessional installed on 3 different
PC's. I installed what I thought was the 4th copy on my nephews PC, but it
appears I may have entered the product key from an already in use copy
because my 2nd PC suddenly wants me to activate and has now locked me out
unless I do so.

I know I should have written down somewhere which copy of Windows belongs to
which PC but hindsight was never my strong point!

Is there a way to be able to view the original CD product key somewhere in
the registry of each PC so I can eliminate the 'in use' copies?

Thanks in advance if you can help

That's added a lot to your original post hasn't it. Patience- it is free
support you are asking for and you need to wait until someone reads your
message, if you want a quick answer pay a consultant or use a search engine.
There are utilities to do what you want, a search engine should find them,
or names have been given in the newsgroup- try the newsgroup archives for
names. Magical Jelly Bean is one name I seem to recall.

Well, actually I did only send the message once, I don't know why it appears
twice - don't worry, if I was the impatient sort, I would never use a
computer!!!!! :-)

Good one - Thank goodness we (People) weren't designed with an
"Hourglass" routine. Although sometimes, I personally could use a
Ctrl-Alt-Del.

Also check out "Belarc Advisor" -- it will give you lots
of good info on your machine INCLUDING the key
used to install windows. One thing I have started doing
is having a word document on my desktop for each
machine called system_name_config_info.doc that has
changes as I do them etc. I include in there the last
5 characters of the windows product key used to
activate the windows on this machine. Surprising how
many times I have found that helpful !!

But did you find the utility?
