I forgot my original network password on Outlook 2007. How can I change my
password when I'm required to enter my old password?

I keep getting the popup screen "Enter Network Password" and want to
reconfigure based on Article ID 290684. Help. Thank you.

That's the password to access your e-mail account up on the mail server.
If you don't remember that password, you'll have to get it reset by
whomever operates the mail server. You never identified who is your
e-mail provider. They might have a "Forgot Password" link on the login
web page when using their webmail interface to your e-mail account with
them.

You mention TWO problems: One is that you cannot remember the password,
and the other is that the cached copy of your login credentials in the
registry is corrupted and you want to delete it and start with a fresh
cached copy. So with which do you need help? The KB article addresses
your 2nd concern (use method #3 first).
