Hi-

I am using Outlook 2003 and when I send email in HTML format people that
receive it (at least people who use hotmail) say it looks like enter is 2
spaces instead of 1.

For example, I'll type this and this is what it will look like to me in
word:

"Hi-

This is a teast email.

-Dan"

But people that read it see:

"Hi-

This is a test email.

-Dan"

If I press SHIFT+ENTER for a break it works fine so I think it is an HTML
problem. Do you know how I can overcome this and still use HTML format and
not have to hold down shift all the time? Thanks in advance!

-Dan

Make sure you are typing in the Normal style instead of in the Paragraph
style. When composing choose Format-> Style-> Normal

Thanks for your help but I am not sure that that is it. I am using outlook
2003 so when I go to Format -> Styles & Formating it displays it in the task
pane on the right-hand side. If I edit my current formating style it says
Style Type is Character and not Paragraph. If I choose the Normal formating
I still have this problem. Could anything else cause this? Thanks!

Hi Dan,

I had the same problem with some of my team and discovered that their e-mail was set up to use Word as the e-mail editor. Check through Tools | Options | Mail Format tab and uncheck the 'use Microsoft word to edit email' box.

Fingers crossed...

That did it! Is there any way I can use Word though as my editor - I seem
to like it better - though it may be that I am just use to it from all these
years. Thanks again!
