I am interested to know how to access 'engineers mode' in the xp login screen

im not really sure, i have seen someone enter 'engineers mode' on the log in
screen and i was just wandering what it is

See Galen. It is an emergency login to handle anything not shown in testing. It was slated for removal from next version of windows.

Nothing is called engineer mode anywhere in windows.

obviously a very locked down and restricted login name for
engineers as some I know would have difficulty determining
if they were the administrator or not. Probably just allows
them to enter the OS and play solitaire (and hopefully not
break it to often)
