i have a computer with windows xp home oem installed on one hard drive and another drive i later installed
i want to reinstall xp using the recovery cd because of some problems
By following the manufacturers instructions i need to take out everything i installed myself e.g the secound hard drive
When im finnished reinstalling xp i will install the HDD
Will i be able to see and access the files on the secound HDD
Some of the files names on the secound HDD are blue which i think means they are enrypted with ntfs.will i be able to access them
Are there any problems you think i should know about

Hope you can help.

You might need to take ownership after the OS install:

This usually indicates compressed files (and besides, WinXP Home doesn't support EFS)...

Not anything I can think of, but if this is valuable date (or some of it), you should have a backup of it "outside" the hard disk (but
that you should have any way, reinstall or not).

One additional note:
XP Home Edition doesn't do file encryption. At least not EFS (the
NTFS-encryption that was mentioned). If the file names are blue in
Explorer, they are compressed, not encrypted.

Note: I did note this in my post :-)
