I want to send a mass email of about 500 through Microsoft Outlook. I am
using Filemaker Pro 8.5 Advanced as my database system and it has an option
to send out the email. But since it goes through Microsoft Outlook it gives
me a prompt stating "DO you want to allow this program to send an email using
Microsoft Outlook 2003" or something similar to that. It also gives me a 5
second delay before I can click "yes." It does this for every single
email... which means that I'd have to do it 500 times plus the added time of
waiting.

I can't seem to figure how to disable the prompt and the help is no help.
This is very vital to our business so please help!

Thank you advance for your time and assistance.

You can't. It is the application not talking is a secure way to Outlook.
This security feature has been here for quite some time so there really
isn't any excuse for why the application is still talking to Outlook in an
unsecure way. You might want to point them to;

In case the vendor doesn't want to co-operate a thing you could try
clientside;

Thank you for the the response!

I ended up calling filemaker and said the same thing as far as it can't be
turned off. They said though that Filemaker works with all other email
clients so I'm now using Outlook Express.

Now my problem is Outlook Express is sending duplicates of emails only the
duplicate doesn't have an email in the To: line.. which is frustrating cuz
that is another error message I have to ex through.

So if you have any advice on thattttt....

Thank you though seriously for taking the time to reply. I checked out
those sites and couldn'tg et them to work for me but it was much appreciated.

I don't know about Outlook Express; different program ;-)
Here is the link for the right forum

You couldn't get the one from MAPILab to work? You might want to contact
their support (which is great!) and see if everything is set up correctly.

Good luck!
