Hi,
I would like to know the prblem after making it ok to run active x on my
computer. (I set it ok across all-restricted, internet, trusted, local, to
make sure)
I update drivers through
active X on a web page and windows isnt letting me. I am feeling owned by
the 'heroic" Big security attempt to ignore my settings, and would like to
kick the "Big security daddy's" ASS. but anyway, back to everything
friendly... Any ideas. Or should I just format and reinstall like the good
old days...

You have not provided details of any Error Reports. This may help to
pin point the problem more precisely.

Please check Event Viewer for Warning / Error Reports in the System and
Application logs for the time the error occurs and post copies.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Administrative Tools,
Event Viewer. When researching the meaning of the error, information
regarding Event ID, Source and Description are important.

HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;308427&Product=winxp

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Double click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. This will paste the info from the Event Viewer Error Report
complete with links into the message. Make sure this is the first paste
after exiting from Event Viewer.

Hope this helps.

Its not an error when its an intention to be ignoring me, just the admin.
I am simply ignored to have settings respected. No Active X from a local web
page on my hard drive. It just decided to be that way one day....and never
switched into functioning.
