Hi guys, could anyone share with me how to enable a uniprocessor built system
to HT? i'm sure i have BIOS configured but task manager just shows single
processor. i see 2 CPU in device manager.

It may appear that there is only one CPU in Task Manager, but it
probably just isn't set up right. Try this: Open Task Manager, clcik
Performance Tab, click View, click CPU History, click One Graph per CPU.

You are aware, I hope, that enabling Hyperthreading will result in a net
loss of performance of up to 15%. Hyperthreading is only used by software
that is "hyperthreading aware", that is to say software that is written to
take advantage of HT. 99% of software is not HT aware, and will suffer if
HT is turned on. The explanation of why this is so is complicated , and has
to do with branch prediction errors and long-chain calculations, but suffice
it to say that HT is in most instances not a wise choice. Do a little
research before deciding whether or not you truly want to enable HT.

Bobby.
