Enable encrypt file not bitlocker on windows vista Home Premium

Is there away to enable encrypt on windows vista Home Premium not bitlocker
just encrypt file is there away to do it
 
I want to use windows vista software it said encrypt contents to secure data
is there a way enable that on windows vista Home Premium

Yes, you would use a 3rd party encryption utility. It looks like only
Vista Ultimate comes with BitLocker, and other versions don't have built-in
encryption.

It's been my observation that easy encryption, such as is available in XP
Pro, carries a lot of risk. Far too many users who turn it on forget to,
or just don't know that they have to finish the job and back up the
certificates, and wind up permanently losing their data.

No, only on Ultimate. It's not supported on any version of Home. Use a
3rd party utility; it's probably safer.

Is there a way to upgrade to ultimate with out buying to it ,I buy home
permium is there away to do that then i herded that all of the DVD come with
OSs right
 
No I do not work at Microsoft and the answer as I previously suggested and
also suggested by Alex is upgrade to Vista Ultimate.
 
"Maybe" this will help You could download and install the free
OpenOffice.org (It's similar to MS Office) and use it to password protect
individual files.
