Empty Start Bar

I have successfully created a XPe SP1 image and deployed it to my target
device using the TAP, Thin Client Professional Template and added some
additional components like an explorer shell.

The device boots OK but takes quite a long time however once the device has
loaded the start bar is empty apart from Logoff and Shutdown. I have copied
shortcuts into the Default User and created an All Users profile directories
as part of the image however I still do not get access to these.

Any advice on this would be appreciated or direct me to a web site with the
information.

Hi Jon,

Include the User Interface Core component in your config (if you do not have
it already). Expand the components and choose Settings- you can then adjust
these settings for Start etc as needed.

Something else to note is that you can also add the "Standard Start Menu
Shortcuts" component which simply adds dozens of links to applets on the
start menu. However, be aware that the shortcuts are added even if the
feature isn't- to remove a shortcut, disable the appropriate shortcut
resource in the resources node of that component.
