empty file /problem with umlauts

Hello!
I need some help here. My problem description:
When filename contain letters with umlauts,
windows creates empty file with same filename but without umlauts.
so in explorer it looks like:

filenäme.jpg | 1Mb
filename.jpg | 0Kb

When deleted this empty file appears again in seconds.
Windows XP SP2 English

What are your anti-virus and anti-spyware arrangements?

Have you run full scans in safe mode with update definitions?

You answered your own question with Windows XP SP2 "English"
In that there is NO such letter in the English alphabet of an "a" with
a umlaut, it goes to the basic alphabet and then creates one with it,
also creating your empty file again and again and again. Using European
letters will create this effect. Try changing the name and then delete, it
will probably create it again???
