EML attachments suddenly became Unassociated

Outlook 2003 suddenly gave a quick "Unable To Load" error
and now all EML attachments show up as unassociated and
can not be opened until I save it to the desktop.

Any Ideas?
 
check you reinstallation of Outlook Express. OE has the default association
for eml files and Outlook and OE share some functionality. If OE is out of
whack it might be causing your problem.
